Ryan’s expertise in managed care contracting, health plan operations strategy, and reimbursement optimization is helpful for clients at a time when recognizing and navigating the needs and constraints of payers and providers is critical to success. Having held positions at consulting firms, payers, and providers, Ryan offers a broad perspective of the healthcare continuum and understands the necessary interplay between payers and providers to execute solutions related to strategy, operations, and finance. He has a passion for adding value for clients through streamlined operations, data-driven insights and outcomes, and client-centric business strategies.
Before joining ECG, Ryan was a senior consultant at Ernst & Young within the healthcare strategy and operations consulting practice. While there, he conducted numerous comprehensive assessments for national and regional payers, using the findings to create future-state roadmaps to improve performance and enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Prior to that, Ryan was a senior business consultant at Elevance Health (formerly Anthem), where he oversaw data analysis and contract strategy support for all categories of service for the Georgia commercial health plan, which included over 3,800 employer groups. In this role, he achieved $48 million in cost-of-care savings for the Georgia health plan through initiatives grounded in his healthcare cost analyses; sophisticated, retrospective data analytics; and complex financial models.
